AI Chatbots and Assistants
Most chatbots on small business websites are frustrating because they're built on a generic template and can't answer a specific question about your business. We build ours on your actual pricing, policies, hours, and FAQs, and we design them to hand off to a human the moment a question gets too complicated or a customer gets frustrated.
Signs this is worth a conversation
- Your website gets after-hours visitors who leave without asking their question or leave contact info.
- Your staff answers the same handful of questions by phone and email, over and over, every day.
- A previous chatbot attempt gave customers wrong or generic answers and made things worse.
- You want to capture leads outside business hours without hiring night staff.
What this looks like
Trained on your real content
We build the assistant's knowledge from your actual website, pricing sheets, policies, and FAQs, so answers reflect your business, not a generic industry template.
Clear handoff to a human
The assistant is built to recognize when it's out of its depth, a pricing negotiation, a complaint, an unusual request, and route the conversation to a person or a booked call instead of guessing.
Lead capture built in
Every conversation is structured to get a name, contact info, and the reason they're reaching out, so even an incomplete chat becomes a usable lead.
Website and SMS deployment
We can deploy the same assistant as a website widget, a text-message line, or both, depending on how your customers actually prefer to reach you.
How we work
Step 1
Free evaluation call
We look at what your customers actually ask and where a chatbot would help versus where it would just annoy people.
Step 2
Content and knowledge build
We gather your policies, pricing, and FAQs and structure them so the assistant answers accurately, including what it should say when it doesn't know.
Step 3
Testing against real questions
Before launch, we run the assistant through real customer questions, including the awkward ones, and tune it until the handoffs work correctly.
Step 4
Launch and monitoring
We review transcripts after launch to catch wrong answers early and keep the assistant's knowledge current as your business changes.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Will the chatbot make up answers if it doesn't know something?
- We specifically build against this. The assistant is instructed to say it doesn't know and offer a handoff rather than guess, and we test it against edge-case questions before launch to check that it behaves this way.
- Can it actually book appointments or just answer questions?
- Both, depending on what you need. We can connect it to your scheduling system so it books directly, or keep it to Q&A and lead capture if that fits your process better.
- How is this different from the chat widget my website platform already offers?
- Most built-in widgets are either simple contact forms in disguise or generic AI with no real knowledge of your business. Ours is trained specifically on your content and configured for your handoff rules.
- What ongoing work does this require from us?
- Very little. You'll want to update us when pricing or policies change so the assistant stays accurate. We handle the technical maintenance.
Not sure if this is worth it for your business?
That's exactly what the free phone evaluation is for. Fifteen minutes, no pitch deck, no obligation. We'll tell you plainly what's worth doing and what isn't.
